Nicole Ari Parker is best known for her outstanding performance as Teri Joseph on the award-winning Soul Food and most recently as Giselle on the hit TV show, Empire.
Her film career includes in Remember the Titans, Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins with Martin Lawrence, Boogie Nights with Mark Wahlberg, the original film Dancing in September and opposite Taye Diggs in Brown Sugar.
Nicole always knew she wanted to be an actress and began pursuing her dream at the Baltimore Actors Theatre and then the Washington Ballet Company, before moving to New York to study further at New York University. She is a graduate of NYU’s famed Tisch School of the Arts.
But she is more than an actress. She's a mom, wife, advocate and businessman.
During her session, she'll be sharing her lessons on how to honor who you are while handling all of these roles. She'll share insights into starting and growing a business, building a sustainable brand, managing all the responsibilities of life and maintaining self care.
Sophie’s Voice Foundation, the charitable organization she started with husband Boris to raise awareness about children and adults living with spina bifida was founded in 2009.
